Senior Designer, Hong Kong
You will report to the Creative Director and work on award-winning web sites and online applications for local and international clients.
You will work under the Art Director and/or Creative Director to ensure that creative briefs are followed and solutions are developed according to a pre-defined style.
- Review and create necessary IA documentation.
- Read, understand and generate creative briefs.
- Present ideas internally, and externally to operational clients.
- Assist internal teams with time, effort and cost estimates for projects.
- Assist in the creation of proposals, pitches and presentations as needed.
- Manage and mentor other Designers, critiquing and improving their work.
- Maintain professionalism in attitude and appearance.
- Represent the company at any opportunity.
- Be willing to help the company maintain its award-winning position and constantly seek to innovate in all areas of work.
You must possess all of the following:
- A Degree or above in graphic design or similar disciplines.
- At least 4 years experience, preferably at an interactive agency, new media company or design firm.
- Strong understanding of usability principles and how they affect and shape creative solutions.
- Awareness of trends, terms and techniques related to visual design, information architecture/usability, and online branding.
- Strong production skills across a wide range of tools: Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Dreamweaver, Premier, 3dsMax and others.
- Good understanding of current online technologies and techniques.
- Strong understanding of branding, both online and off.
- Flexible and adaptable design style, with strong typographic and colour skills.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to propose research-based solutions.
- Ability to manage small engagements.
- Good ability to manage own time, juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Fluent English and Cantonese/Mandarin, additional languages desired.
- Ability to communicate with teams on status and issues.
