Bold New Look for Sino Group of Hotels Web Site Launch
Sino Group of Hotels and Ion Global celebrate the launch of the new web site at www.sino-hotels.com  , the gateway to four hotels in Hong Kong. The main goal of the web site is to drive more direct online bookings, while providing a fresh new look and improved user-friendliness. When fully launched, the site will serve customers in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
Sino Group of Hotels partnered with Ion Global based on its previous track record in the hospitality industry, its award-winning creative skills, technical expertise and in-depth experience in search engine optimization.
In addition to project management and technical implementation, Ion Global was responsible for the art direction of a whole new set of photographs designed to portray the hotels in a new light. Jim Fong, Art Director at Ion Global in Hong Kong said, "The Sino Hotels are located in different areas of Hong Kong, and with each location having a different business focus, look and feel, it was an exciting challenge to amalgamate the various hotel personalities under one brand."
Ion Global developed the multi-lingual site with Sitecore , a content management system that allows the hotel staff to update, approve, and publish live content within minutes. Michael Li, Project Manager said, "One of our goals was to enable each hotel to manage and keep their web site fresh. Time-to-market is essential to this business. We helped decentralise the process of updating content and developed a workflow that works for Sino. This was very easy to customize within Sitecore."
The flexible site accommodates future changes to the company's offerings, including seasonal special offers on room, dining and festive promotions. Its vibrant new design leverages the group's brand and serves as an effective communication channel to visitors, whether they choose to book online or offline.
