With expertise in globalization and search engine optimization strategies, James Douglas brings a wealth of experience to his role as Strategy Manager for Ion Global. Based in San Francisco, James works with clients to develop long-term globalization plans and global search engine optimization strategies that will help achieve their online business goals.
Prior to joining Ion Global in 2004, he worked at 24/7 Search, the search engine marketing arm of 24/7 Real Media, where he was responsible for developing advanced search engine marketing tools and optimization strategies. James has also worked on natural language-based search for Ask Jeeves where he developed content and services for their European, Latin American, Australian, and Asian search engines. He has a masters degree in English with a focus on Irish Studies from The Catholic University of America and has lived and worked in Dublin, London, Tokyo, and Sydney.
When not thinking about globalization or search engine technologies, James continues his pursuit of baking the ideal loaf of sourdough bread and expanding his knowledge of modern Irish literature.
